When getting lost looks like this, involves stumbling upon a Scottish legend’s grave and a sipping a cold pint at Monachyle MHOR, it’s really not so bad! The Greek island of Ios was the last stop on the first backpacking trip I ever took, way back in 2008. It might be known for its pub-lined streets and party-atmosphere, but Ios has a lot more to offer for those who are willing to look beyond the main town.
The view from the Castle of Santa Cruz turned out to be completely worth almost being trampled to death by a horse which, if you visit the town of Caravaca de la Cruz, Murcia, during the first five days of May, is something you might just experience too. Continue reading
